NaNoWriMo is coming!

I’ve participated in National Novel Writing Month since 2011 and have only met the word count goal the last two years (2017-2018). This has been a great experience for me.

NaNoWriMo has taught me to:

Actually plan ahead (a little! I’m a planster now instead of a complete panster);

Write every day even if it isn’t that good yet – 50k words in 30 days is not going to happen if I deliberate on every sentence;

Believe that I can actually do this writing thing! Because even if you don’t make the word count goal, you went for it. And now you have a project to finish.

It’s also left me with two WIPs, currently in the editing/querying stage. This year, I plan to continue my winning streak!

I can’t say much about what my new novel is about, but for a little tidbit, it involves a few things: swimming, dashed hopes and dreams, sassy remarks, redemption, faith, and love.

Interested? I hope so! More to come.
